We are delighted that ‘Different’ was selected to screen at the Free Feb Film outdoor cinema at Siteworks in Brunswick on Feb 1st! It was screened with another short film made by Youthworx (‘Brown Paper Bag’) and before Warwick Thornton’s feature documentary ‘We Don’t Need a Map’.
We would like to wish Amelia a happy 21st birthday! Amelia has been involved with Youthworx since they were 14 and has been working as a Youthworx staff member for the last four years. It has been incredible having Amelia as part of the team and watching them grow and develop their professional skills over the years. Amelia is now a mentor to other young people and we look forward to the next stage of their professional and personal journey!
P.S. If you were wondering, the cake was delicious!
Youthworx is excited to have collaborated with The Funding Network to create this great new photography module
“Module #6 of the Impact Storytelling Toolkit – a guide to powerful storytelling for social impact”.
This awesome new module is delivered by our very talented resident photographer Damien Baumgart – be sure to check out the website!
We’ve Been Shortlisted!
We are really proud, really proud to have been shortlisted for the Social Enterprise Growth Award for this years Social Enterprise Awards presented by Social Traders. This is a great honour and after 10 years of using creative practice to empower young people we are really excited to be recognised in this context and stand alongside the other fantastic organisations nominated STREAT, Salvos Legal and Enable IT.
P 1 MILLION LEONIE
Over the past 12 months we have been privileged to work on Project 1 Million in partnership with C31. As part of this project we made this beautiful short film about elder Leonie (Kngwarraye) Palmer with another great organization called Children’s Ground. Check out the film here.
