Hannah is a filmmaker driven to create moving drama and documentary based on social issues. Her experience includes all aspects of film production, as well as teaching and youth work.
Originally hailing from Adelaide, Hannah trained as an actor at the VCA in Melbourne and studied Creative Writing at Melbourne University before completing her Masters in the VCA film school as a director. She has trained in sketch comedy with The Groundlings in Los Angeles, The Clown School in Los Angeles as well as with Philipe Gaulier in Berlin. She has also studied with two of her idols – Abbas Kiarostami and Béla Tarr and has made 7 short films and a web series that have screened at top international festivals as well as on SBS Television.
Her films include: Ali 707, Living Room, She Saw, the web series The Greatest Love of All and most recently the short film Love is a Lunatic City. She is currently working on a feature documentary True North.
She speaks conversation Spanish and is desperately trying to learn Arabic.
