Youthworx feeling REEL thankful for local MP’s donation
More employment and training for marginalised youth at Brunswick social enterprise Youthworxhas been made possible by a 17.5 thousand dollar donation. The money, given by Federal MP
for Wills Peter Khalil will go towards creating a whole new floor of training facilities at
Youthworx’s existing site on Tinning St – freeing up space for more employment and corporate
productions at the same time.
The certified training program, run in collaboration with Melbourne Polytechnic, lies at the core
of what we do here at Youthworx. The ability to grow and develop the training and production
facilities means more opportunities for young people to re-engage in learning and employment
pathways.
Having this space these past ten years has been really great for the organisation’s growth. But the social enterprise is pretty much at a point where we have to turn down client projects because we don’t have enough space for computers for editors to work on! Expanding will allow us to grow our business and is a dream come true for all of us!

We’re still fundraising to fit out the space and run more programs so get in touch if you have any ideas!
